Look for classes that deliver specific martial arts training – you can always take a group fitness class at a gym.
How long are the classes? How much time is devoted to basic fitness? How much time is spent on martial arts instruction? How often do the students do the same drill or exercise? Is there variety in the training? If it seems that the class is spending a long time on physical fitness, you may not get a lot of martial arts instruction at that location. If the classes are all the same, the material might get old quickly, causing a loss of interest.
